Overview
Course description
The course Spanish Grammar, intermediate level, integrates the system of rules of Spanish and
analyzes its linguistic system as well as usage rules.
General objective
Improve the student’s grammatical competence, studying the system of rules of Spanish and its
usage rules. Adequacy of register and context.
Specific objectives
1. Analyze grammatical aspects related to the system of rules of the language and its rules of use.
2. Recognize the morpho-syntactic components presented in class through various texts.
3. Apply the system of rules the language in communicative situations.
4. Use the system of rules of the language in real communication situations.Contents
Grammatical contents
1. Indicative mood. Preterits: indefinite and imperfect. Future tenses.
2. Perfective forms: haber + participle3. Direct/indirect object complement. Uses of se.
4. Pronominal verbs
5. Verboids: infinitive / gerund / participle
6. Subjunctive mood: nominal, adverbial, and adjective clauses.
7. Principle of subsidiarity.
8. Conditionals.Communicative contents:
1. Debates.
2. Express agreement and disagreement.
3. Express feelings, emotions, doubt, beliefs.
4. Give advice. 5. Hypothesize about the past and future.Activities
1. Theoretical and expository lessons
2. Role play
3. Simulation
4. Grammar worksheets for homework.Evaluation
1. Attendance and participation (10%)
