Overview
This course examines the phenomenon of the explosion of urban Latin music in recent years and its impact on the expansion of the Spanish language globally. The roots of urban Latin music, its evolution over time, and its influence on Hispanic American culture and identity will be analyzed. In addition, the linguistic and socio-political aspects of the phenomenon will be explored, as well as its international projection.
