    Investors have access to a large pool of financial products, traded in capital markets, which can be used to increase their savings. They need to have an understanding of how capital markets work, how to evaluate different types of investments and how to manage their portfolio of assets, in order to make sound investment decisions.   

    In this module you’ll explore trading strategies, the valuation techniques of various financial assets and the basic principles of portfolio management.  

    You will achieve an understanding of:  

    • how financial markets operate;  
    • the valuation of equity products, bonds and derivatives;  
    • the principles of portfolio management;  
    • investment strategies.  

    Crucially, you will improve your knowledge and understanding of financial markets and investments during this module.
